Charging Ahead with
Game-Changing Technology
Lead-Acid Dry-Charged Batteries
Lead-acid dry-charged batteries are built on a well-established technology that uses lead plates and an electrolyte solution of sulfuric acid to generate power. In dry-charged variants, the battery is manufactured with charged plates but without the electrolyte, allowing it to be stored for extended periods without degradation. When the battery is ready to be used, the electrolyte is added, activating the battery. This technology offers excellent reliability and longevity, particularly for automotive applications, as it can provide a strong burst of power for starting engines.

Troubleshooting Guide
Batteries are essential for powering various devices and vehicles, but sometimes issues can arise. Here’s how to identify and fix common problems with your SAGA battery.
Common Issues and Solutions
Cell Shorting
Disconnection
Top Cover Leakage
Electrolyte Leakage
Battery Explosion
Cell Shorting
- Failure Type: Cell Short
- Battery Part: Special cell
- Symptoms:
- Battery not starting
- Loss of electric equipment functionality
- Causes:
- Misalignment between plates and separators.
- Lead-tear due to unskilled or rushed assembly.
- Partially over-pasted or misshaped plates.
- Poor quality of separators, unevenly cut or mis-folded.
- Solution:
Check and realign the plates and separators. Replace any damaged components with correctly shaped and quality parts.
Disconnection
- Failure Type: Disconnection
- Battery Part: Special cell
- Symptoms:
- Battery not starting
- Loss of electric equipment functionality
- Causes:
- Disconnection of ICC parts from plates due to poor assembly.
- Cracks or unfilled parts in ICC or bushing.
- Worn welding tips.
- Misalignment of container punched holes with ICC surface.
- Flash in container holes.
- Solution:
Reconnect or replace ICC parts. Regularly check and replace welding tips. Ensure proper alignment during assembly.
Top Cover Leakage
- Failure Type: Leakage
- Battery Part: Sealing part, case, etc.
- Symptoms: Electrolyte leakage
- Causes:
- Failure in heat sealing.
- Damage during assembly or handling.
- Solution:
Adjust temperature and duration according to SOP. Replace or repair damaged parts.
Electrolyte Leakage
- Failure Type: Leakage
- Battery Part: Sealing part, case, etc.
- Symptoms: Electrolyte leakage
- Causes:
- Heat sealing failure.
- Damage to the container or cover.
- Solution:
Check and ensure proper sealing. Replace any damaged parts to prevent further leakage.
Battery Explosion
- Failure Type: Explosion
- Battery Part: Exhaust hole
- Symptoms: Battery explosion
- Causes:
- Handling negligence.
- Presence of flammable materials.
- Short circuit in the poles.
- Solution:
Follow all safety guidelines during handling. Keep flammable materials away from the battery. Regularly inspect and maintain exhaust holes to prevent blockages.
